Solar Simulator
FYTRONIX branded Solar Simulator systems have a Class AAA product range ranging from 50x50 mm to 50x50 cm, ranging from 150W to 3kW.
What is a Solar Simulator?
A solar simulator (Solar Simulation) is a device that simulates real sunlight in a laboratory environment. These devices are used to examine how various materials and systems will behave in real-world conditions. They are used for purposes such as testing the resistance of solar panels, solar energy systems, and materials to sunlight. These simulators are designed to produce sunlight at certain wavelengths, intensities, and angles.
Solar Simulator
Solar Simulator systems consist of a source intermediate lamp, control electronics, shutter, lamp, and optical chambers. The HEPA filter unit provides clean air cooling for the Solar Sumilator. The optional digital shutter allows for easy time-dependent solar simulation.
Solar simulators are devices that simulate sunlight in a laboratory environment. These devices create the properties and spectrum of sunlight, allowing various tests to be performed. Solar simulators are used to test the performance of solar panels, characterize photovoltaic cells, evaluate material durability, and perform various optical or photochemical experiments.
Solar simulators generally use xenon or metal halide lamps and attempt to simulate the light emitted by these lamps as sunlight. These devices include advanced control systems to control parameters such as adjustable intensity, spectrum, and timing.
Areas of use of solar simulators may include measuring the efficiency of solar panels, testing the wear resistance of materials, examining the effects of solar radiation, and running various photochemical reactions. These simulators play an important role in solar research and development.
FYTRONIX Solar Simulator
FYTRONIX branded Solar Simulator systems have a Class AAA product range ranging from 150W to 3kW from 50x50 mm to 50x50 cm.
The lighting type is adjustable up, down or horizontally.
FYTRONIX Technologies Solar Sumilator offers a wide range of solar simulators in compliance with ASTM, IEC and JIS standards ranging from 150W to 3kW with a sun or larger illuminated area size from 50 x 50 mm to 35 x 35 cm. The illumination direction, conventional downward, horizontal or vertical upward, can be specified at the time of ordering.
All FYTRONIX solar simulators are completely self-contained. The source, arc lamp power supply, control electronics, shutter, lamp and optical chamber are housed in a single compact housing. A digital shutter timer provides internal or external control of the shutter. HEPA filtration ensures a clean cooling air supply to the optical chamber.
A range of spectral matching filters are available for adding to all FYTRONIX full spectrum Solar Sumilators. Full spectrum systems are normally shipped with a borosilicate condenser lens to minimize UV exposure. Fused silica condensers can be substituted if UV output is desired.
